Description

The B-17 Memphis Belle visited PDK Atlanta on March 23, 2013. The weather conditions were not ideal with bitter cold, wind, sleet and a bit of snow, but right before I left, the sky provided one last moment of dramatic light. This is my personal favorite of the shots I captured. 2013 Chris Buff

Excellent shot. I've got the same AC shot when it was "Big D" before they painted it up like the actual Belle, which has been removed from Memphis and is being restored in the USAF museum. This Belle was named such for the movie, is actually a G with no chin turret painted up like an F, but with a heavily framed turret from an E. Great shot btw. My shot was in 88 at West Memphis airport just before an airshow.
